Thank you for taking the time to pick up your issue of the Albert Times.  This newsletter is written to promote, and help resolve, issues surrounding seabird interactions with deep sea fishing vessels.  The information given is directed to all parties interested in saving seabirds, but mostly for vessel operators and fishermen in general.

The information will help increase awareness of seabirds in general and provide some solutions to reducing seabird mortalities during fishing operations.

We hope you find something of interest in each issue.  Your feedback is welcome - email us at albertross@fishinfo.co.nz

Admiral Albert here, head honcho of the world famous organization OFFAL (Oceans For Free Albatross Lunches).  As a salty old sea dog I'd like to welcome you chaps and chapesses to my monthly newsletters full of an offal amount of interesting tip bits (heh heh, sometimes I crack myself up!).

My newsletters, the 'Albert Times' are being used to better inform both fishing industry participants and interested parties of the importance of minimising the interactions between seabirds and fishing vessels.
